PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
35 organizations collaborate to provide hope and help for the people of North Korea through the Korea Reunification Initiative and Network (KRIN).
SEOUL, Korea (April 30 – May 1, 2015) — A “Mayday Consultation” initiated by Cornerstone Ministries International with 35 other ministries and organizations resulted in action plans for providing help and hope to the people of North Korea. This call to action is illustrated in 1 Chronicles 12:32 “… men that had an understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.”
The consultation was designed as a working session to identify partner assets, review local objectives and initiatives, and identify opportunities for involvement. Partnering organizations worked collaboratively to develop action plans and next steps for moving forward.
The KRIN is a collaborative, action-oriented network focused on the following 12 Service Sectors: 1) Prayer, 2) Relief Support, 3) Children, 4) Reconciliation, 5) Trauma Counseling, 6) Church Planting, 7) Bible/Literature Distribution, 8) Radio and Media, 9) Sports and Arts, 10) Church Construction, 11) Leadership, 12) Community Development
Each of the 12 Service Sectors will continue to meet on a regular basis to mobilize resources and provide support for local objectives and initiatives that have been identified. A KRIN Network Coordinator supports interaction between the global partners and local initiatives. Additional Coordinators have been identified to support the initiative and partners through prayer, project management, church involvement, public relations, and logistics.
All who were gathered committed to the Vision of the initiative “To see a growing, vibrant, self-sustainable North Korean Church that is holistic, healthy and Christ-centered and the core values of “Servant Hood,” “Faithfulness,” and “Management by obedience to God”.
Mayday Consultation delegates and KRIN partners are inviting others who share this Vision to join in partnering with us to serve the Church of North Korea. The criteria for inclusion in the network is a Kingdom theology, integrity, and Christ-like character. Please join by going to www.rescuenk.org and signing up.
